Make short-form video ads with AI, without leaving your agent
A short guide for marketers and founders who need ten ad variations by Friday, not one hero film by next quarter.
Cancel anytime before day 7 · no lock-in
The bottleneck was never the idea
Most teams do not run out of angles. They run out of finished clips. A single fifteen-second Reel used to mean a shoot, an editor, and three days of back and forth before anyone could see whether the hook worked.
Short-form platforms punish that pace. TikTok and Reels reward volume and iteration, and the account that ships fifteen variations learns faster than the one polishing a single film. The constraint is production throughput, not creative direction.
An AI generator changes the unit economics of a test. When a new clip costs you a prompt and a few credits instead of a booking, you stop rationing ideas and start spending them.
How the generator actually plugs in
Figgshield is not another web app with its own login and its own tab. It is an MCP connector at https://api.figgshield.ai/mcp that your AI agent calls directly. You describe the ad in the chat you already use, and the agent generates the media through the connector.
It works with Claude on desktop and in Claude Code, with Cursor and Windsurf, and with ChatGPT in Developer Mode on paid plans. Any MCP-capable agent can reach it.
Two models sit behind it. Nano Banana 2 from Google produces the stills, and Kling 3, with a faster Kling 3 Turbo tier, produces the motion. Both draw from one credit balance, so you are not juggling two subscriptions to build one ad.
From a still to a moving ad, step by step
The reliable pattern is to lock the frame first, then animate it. Generating a strong still before you spend on motion means you approve the composition cheaply.
- Generate the product still with Nano Banana 2 at 1K or 2K for 8 credits, and check framing, lighting and text placement before going further.
- Pass that image id straight into the video step so the clip starts from a frame you already approved, instead of describing it again from scratch.
- Render a five-second clip with Kling 3 for 35 credits, or use the Turbo tier when you want the result back sooner during iteration.
- Download the file from its private link. It stays live for seven days, so pull it into your ad manager and asset store while it is there.
Which clip to kill by day two
The generator solves supply. Your reporting decides which supply survives. With ten variations live, the early signal is not conversions, it is retention on the first three seconds. Thumb-stop rate and three-second hold tell you which hook earned attention before the offer ever loaded.
Cut ruthlessly. A clip with a weak hold rate almost never recovers later in the funnel, and spending more to find out is expensive. Kill the bottom half by day two and reallocate to the survivors.
The point of cheap generation is not to make more ads for their own sake. It is to make the kill decision affordable. When a replacement clip costs 43 credits and an afternoon, retiring a loser stops feeling like a loss.
What a real test actually costs
The pricing is at cost. Figgshield does not mark up Nano Banana 2 or Kling 3, so a credit buys you the model's true rate and nothing on top. The only money the service makes is on credits people buy and never spend, which means there is no incentive to push you toward heavier renders.
Do the math on a finished shot. One still at 8 credits plus a five-second clip at 35 credits is 43 credits. A still at 4K costs 16 credits if you need that resolution, though most vertical ad frames look right at 1K or 2K.
The $5 Pro trial runs seven days and includes 150 credits, which is roughly three finished shots with room left for extra stills. There is no free tier. Cancel before day seven and you pay nothing more. See how credits work for the full breakdown.
Ship your first batch this week
Point your agent at the connector, write the brief the way you would explain it to an editor, and generate three hooks against the same product still. You will have a batch to launch before you finish your coffee.
Treat the first day as calibration, not commitment. The trial is built for exactly this, a real test with real output, cancellable before it renews.
